Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas May 2024 cruise review

May

Pros: We loved the staff, entertainment, spa and our junior suite! The food was also great.

Cons: Not enough vegan options in the windjammer (buffet), was confusing knowing which entrees were vegan

Recommended: Yes

We loved our cruise and everything was positive. We got engaged in Bermuda! The one Con is we found it confusing on knowing which food options were Vegan in the Windjammer buffet. We liked that the main dining room had vegan options for an appetizer, entree and dessert. The speciality restaurants should highlight more vegan options on their menus so we don't have to ask the waitress/waiter staff. We would recommend adding a separate section in the buffer for vegan dietary restrictions. This would make it easier to find and more comfortable knowing which options were vegan. The windjammer chef went above and beyond to make my boyfriend, now fiancé, a vegan tofu stir fry dish. We really appreciated this! Overall, we loved our cruise experience and can't wait to come back!

Bermuda

May

Pros: Staff great.

Cons: ship a little older

Recommended: Yes

Staff - room attendant, dining room, bars were very good and nice got to talk to a number of them. The Windjammer seemed to repeat some meals but otherwise the food was good and staff nice. Enjoyed the ice show. Miss them on ships without ice rink. All in all really enjoyed the cruise. Bermuda of course was great Our 8th time there. Ferry to Hamilton very good and spent the day there. Did a ship tour to Aquarium and Crystal Caves. The driver spoke all the way about what we were passing which made it very interesting. Did not participate in most activities so cannot rate.

Cruise

March

Pros: The service was great. All staff were kind and happy to serve, assist or help.

Cons: More seafood and fish options

Recommended: Yes

The only con was not enough sea food and fish served at dinner n the main dining room. We would of loved to have crab legs, scallops, osters, sea bass, Maihi Mahi as dinner entree option. Lobster was available every dinner with a upcharge. It would have been nice to have some of the other choices of fish/seafood as a upchage.

Short Bahamas Cruise on A Big Ship

January

Pros: Our junior suite was huge with a large balcony, walk in closet & huge bath/shower .

Cons: The entire ship was dated & in need of a refresh. stained furniture etc. even in suite. My time dining was a cattle call & poorly managed. We finally got excellent service & a quieter table nights 3 & 4 after complaining to guest services & head waiters.

Recommended: Yes

Overall we had a great trip with a couple of glitches. We enjoyed the shows very much- ice show & Into the Air were favorites, followed by comedian & Saturday Night Fever. Dinner on nights 3 & 4 was good in terms of service. I have cruised since 1994 & the overall quality of the food has slipped noticeably, particularly the main entree & desserts. No more Caribbean lobster tails, baked Alaska, soufflés, cherries jubilee etc. Apparently they are a thing of the past. All our drinks were excellent & of good quality. We enjoyed the Starbucks on board which was included in our drink package. The private island, Cococay, was a wonderful day. We immensely enjoyed the beautiful South Beach area. Our beach bed was wonderful, drink service great & lunch on the island was all included & delicious. Our cabin steward was very attentive. Our shore excursion was canceled on Nassau due to wind, but we taxied to Cable Beach & made our own fun. Transportation to & from port was very easy & seamless with easy , convenient kUber or taxis.

Overall this is a great shop for a short cruise. It has many of the amenities that keep both adults and kids satisfied. The staff were great all throughout the ship.
